Unhappy connect LAN proxy DSL no firewall

Help please.
I'm trying to connect via LAN proxy DSL and no firewall.

The setup is like this:
One pc(W2k) on the LAN is connected to the internet via DSL. It's running the AnalogX proxy (great free proxy). There's no firewall for now since the connection has been up only a couple of days. I'm the one who set it up and I'm the one responsible so I can configure how I want. From my pc(W2k) I access the internet by putting a proxy IP address(the address of the machine which has the DSL modem) in IE or Netscape. will Bearshare run in this environment? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Joe
