![]() Hi. Sorry, I've tried everything I can find concerning this connection problem. I realised that being behind a firewall was blocking uploads. I have: 1. Confirmed that Zonealarm allows bearshare.exe access. 2. Given this box (XP) a static IP (through Network Connections). 3. Given the DI624+ router instructions to forward 6346 to the static IP. 4. Checked the router firewall settings are not blocking the port. I have done this according to instructions on bearshare.com, support.dlink.com and portforward.com. I dunno, what the heck do I do now? That yellow led is pestering me. Thanks a squizillion. .s |

![]() Well, given the yellow indicator is supposed to mean there is a firewall problem, I was a little surprised to see someone uploading from me. The help documentation has failed to describe this situation. For example, if the State says Response then you'd expect Size to show nMB/totalMB rather than just full size of the file. Even more confusing is to see Status on 98% for the last half hour when there is no other traffic. Other things the help documentation fails to address is the meaning of the red font for the Host column. Also, there is a Response number (now #79 and counting) which suggests to me that nothing is happening (but why? when Status says 98%!)... Blah. See attached. :| .s |

![]() Hi LOTR Muchas Gracias for your reply. Especially since you are not in the BearShare dugout. I just witnessed someone (finally) get an entire file from me so it can't a total firewall. Maybe there are delays at their end. I can only conclude that the yellow light is like a yellow traffic light. Some packets run it. FYI, I have ZA and Windoze firewalls disabled, just the router firewall. Thanks & Regards Simon |

![]() Oh well, I have to assume that everything is OK. My router is not logging attacks and there is certainly upload traffic. It would be nice to see my Response reports, but I can't find them and I assume that's BearShare Pro. Thanks for your help. |
