connection freezes my computer
 

when i open limewire 4.9 the program freezes my computer and the only way i can recover is to remove the power
i have a ibm thinkpad , xp pro and lime wire 4.9 pro. also the problem first appeared when limewire 4.8 pro was installed and i upgraded to 4.9 - no help, same problem. i'm most likely doing something basic wrong. any help would be very much appreciated

Update your java. Hope you have enough ram. Don't resume all your files as that will put pressure on your system.
