| Ummm, I'm using a Netgear wireless router, and Geforce cable internet. Bearshare did work for a while, but now for the past 3 days its had the red light on saying host not connected, I even turned off my firewall, and still I have the red light. | I've had bearshare for at least nine months and it's been nothing but perfect. About 3 months ago I noticed that I couldn't get certain titles to download at all. popular movies and what not. They'd que up but I'd get nothing. Than about 2 weeks ago my Bearshare quick all together. Like the previous people on this topic my hosts can't connect to give me the goods. I did the bearshare diagnostic but I don't know how to post it here. I have Time Warner cable and use their cable modem. The modems brand name is Webstar and it' s made by Scientific Atlanta. Inc |

| I have the blinking red light to, hosts not connecting. My room mate shares the same internet connection and they have no problem with using bearshare. I have no firewalls up so I dunno what the prob is. |

| Go into Setup/Connection and change the port number at the bottom from 6346 to any number between 1024-65535. Once you have done that, go to PortForward.com and select your router, then select BearShare and follow the instructions. |
