comp reset with bearshare

i have bearshare 6.2 and everytime i log on after about a minute it freezes my computer and then it resets. i have windows xp sp2. i have over 1gig of ram and plenty of space and such. i have turned off my pop up blocker and it still does it and i cannot figure out how to fix it. can anyone please tell me what i can do that will help????
