Default Connection problems

I HAVE BS 5.3.0.0 and have had no host connection problems for years. All of the sudden, I cannot connect. Any suggestions? I have tried several of the suggestions mentioned in the forum but nothing seems to work. Help please!

I've only had issues a few times and even then I found that with patience and just walking away and coming back later resulted in finally getting connected....this only happens after periods of not using BS for a while and therefor not having a current connections cache...usually I get connected to a bunch of LW hosts, but upon restarting I normally get connected to the usual majority of BS hosts...

btw, I use the expired beta version (http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...sabotaged.html ) forced into UP mode and ALWAYS have PG2 running..

you seem to have some serious issues with reading the very plain writing on the wall...I just had BS running a couple of days ago after a very long period on inactivity, and while it didn't connect immediately, it was fully connected to over 40 hosts within 4 minutes...
