Skin Themes not working/extracting downloads
 

my different skins are not working. i have just downloaded limewire and the metal skin does not work.

Is the metal skin the same thing as the black skin? cuz i downloaded the black skin, but i dont know where to extract the folder's contents to.

I've got the same problem with the metal skin. I wonder if it's not working or if it's from an older limewire version?

idk, but its really annoying cuz i dont like the regular theme.

limewire needs to fix this. i even tried downloading the black one, but i dont know where to extract the files to. do i just extract it to limewire?

If you're using Vista, look for your themes folder in C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\LimeWire\themes
You'll need to show hidden files & folders first, the themes folder is inside LW's preferences folder: LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

The forum search is a good tool...you can use it to look through old threads & find the answers to your questions.

Ive Downloaded all the skins, the metal skin, i think is the same as the black theme :)

I just looked in my themes folder and the only one in there is the windows_theme.

While in Limewire go to View (upper left corner). Apply Skins. This is where all of your skins reside. You can also download more skins from the Limewire site, there. Click Get More Skins.

The Black Theme and Metal Theme are totally two different Skins. Click on Get More Skins and you will be able to see all of the different Skins. :D

Can you do it thru the limweire browser? Downoad the theme you want.

Now if they'd put the Metal Theme on the website.
