Resuming Idea

First, excuse my sometimes bad english. This is definetly not my language... hope you can decrypt it.

Here is my thought:

It seems that LW only makes a proper resume if exact the host is available, that started the file.Any change of host or filename, and the file starts from the beginning, wich ist at 95% a good reason to smash a coffeecup on the screen.

On the other side, a running download adds hosts with other names, wich is a good thing :-)

Her is the point, dear developers:

Is it technically possible, in case of resume or restart, to fake temporaly that specific host, so that the file is able to turn to its last position and then add hosts like a real running download?

I've seen many downloads with 0k and then is a host added and it goes on. all you have to do is to tell the download routine: "Hey! wake up, your source is back again" and it turns to somewhat 30%... The search for additional dl sites do the rest.

your problems will be fixed in LimeWire 3.0 (with the arrival of hashes...)

Not really. I can tell you, that 2.4.0 will come before 3.0.0 (in fact I'm already using 2.4.0 from cvs). I think it will take a month at least, till it's released.
