I'm wondering if anyone's having the same problem with the cvs build of 2.4 that I am.
The problem is that the connections are pretty screwed up. No matter what speed or connections number you have set, if you have ultrapeer mode enabled, you get a whole ton of leaf connections. I mean a WHOLE TON. I counted over 150 on my connections window before I killed it. I'm on a school network so I can support that many connections, the problem is the bandwidth that this eats up. I was going at almost 100 KBps when I disconnected. Admittedly, I got a great horizon, but at that speed, I'd go over my weekly download limits in a few hours. When I disabled ultrapeers, I only got 3 connections. Again, changed speed & connections number didn't affect anything. The new connections limit is already set pretty low which i understand but don't like, but with only 3 connections, I can't even get a gb of files in my horizon.
I'm not sure why I posted this since 2.4 is still in development and it's probably going to be fixed without me mentioning it, but I just thought it was a great story. =) Limewire's great, keep up the good work guys. |
