Hey, I'm new in here and I am so disappointed that my limewire will not open up anymore. It was working perfectly for atleast 2months but now it has an error message and tells me to COPY and PASTE the message and email it to bugs@limewire.com............however, I have done just that several times and no response from them. My dad paid the $8 or whatever it was to get LimeWire and we are incredibly stressed that we recieve NO help whatsoever from LimeWire. The text in the error message is as follows.................

Hi, id also like to add that this problem only arose when I upgraded my Limewire around 1 week ago. It has not been open since.

I can suggest three things that may help.

If you are running Limewire 2.4.3 then get the latest version which is 2.4.4 as I believe 2.4.3 had some problem and the next version was released just after 2.4.3

Download and install the latest Jave Runtime (1.4) it is free and is located at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/download.html

Revert to the previous version of Limewire ... if you did not uninstall it it is still resident on yor machine at:
C:\program files\Limewire\2.x.x Pro.

I hope one of these helps.

Thank u for your help! I updated to Java 1.4............LimeWire still does not open and I only have the updated Limewire on my computer ...........I will reboot soon and see what happens, thank you again for your help!!

Ok, I have the java and crap as stated above. Where is 2.4.4? At limewire.com there is only 2.4.3

I never had this trouble with Napster and Morpheous, all i did was upgrade 2..3 to 2.4.

I can't get it to open at all.
