2.52 beta is missing shared folders (****, my original message didn't post! here's a quick repost...) The 2.52 beta is not sharing the files in sub-folders. |
it's "working" now, so I suspect the problem is related to the hashing function. All files in the root of the 1st shared folder are immediately listed (and, presumably, shareable). Files in any sub-folders, however, are not listed/shareable until the hashing of the first folder is complete and are then listed one at a time (as they're hashed?). At the very least, they should be immediately listed in the Library view, even if they're not actually shareable. This is what appears to be happening in the root of the shared folder, so why not extend that same functionality to the sub-folders? |
They'll be added after they've been hashed--which can take a while. Luckily startup is really fast the second time. |
My point is: They should be immediately listed in the Library tab even if they're not immediately available for download. Otherwise, the user thinks there's something wrong with the configuration. Maybe, instead, you could have a pop-up that warns that "Not all files selected for sharing are available yet; they will be listed as available once they have been hashed" |
