Default PFSP, TTH and magnets

Any eta on Partial File Sharing, TigerTree Hashes and magnets for limewire?

These are all VERY important features for gnutella. And as far as I know all very lacking in limewire.

Does anyone from the LW team actually read these boards anymore?

MAGNET: a couple weeks. It's mostly coded up here on a separate branch and just needs more testing and integration.

PFSP/TigerTree: not started yet.

Has anyone put up a roadmap of what technologies are planned to be implemented in future Limewire/Gnutella releases?

Chris, can I take that to mean that LW will be supporting PFSP w/ TTH??

Good to hear magnets are on the way soon.

Yes, we plan on supporting PFSP and THEX, but I can't give a timeframe for it. GUESS is higher priority right now.

Chris, Hope you just forgot to log in.

Good to hear you are putting your support behind PFSP. Vinnie seems to wax and wane on the benefits and says he will follow your lead.

I do think GUESS (or G2 whatever) is a very important addition to gnutella. I wish Mike would release his specs.

Any ETA for GUESS? PFSP?

I hope the code for magnets makes it in the next release since it is pretty much done.

GUESS is limewire's spec -- G2 is Mike's (and supposedly incorporates some of the ideals of GUESS). the current CVS branch has GUESS incorporated, but not many people are using it so it's hard to see if it has any impact at all.

although i don't really know what version number LimeWire is planning for the next release, with the amount of changes (both in the display and engine), it really warrants a 3.0. (i actually would prefer a LimeWire 2003 )

GUESS is still disabled by default in the latest limewire code, even if you did get it from CVS. That's why Acquisition, although it uses the latest limewire code, is not GUESS enabled yet.
