I downloaded 2.8.2 and it works fine, however I can't find anywhere in the settings how to set the UDP port for GUESS.

I'm behind a firewall and I need to know which port GUESS listens on; otherwise there's not much point in having it.

LimeWire uses the same port for tcp and udp. You don't need to set it, yet, since LimeWire doesn't actively use GUESS yet. Only GUESS enabled development versions of LimeWire can doe GUESS searches.

Is the code in CVS guess-enabled? If so which branch? I'm really curious to give it a try.

Yes it is. You have to uncomment some lines in the message router.

I uncommented lines 485-489 and a whole block a little later on, also uncommented line 204 but am not sure about that one. Is the MessageHandler the only file that needs uncommenting?

Everything compiles and runs nicely, unfortunately so far I haven't seen any udp traffic in the statistics. There have been very few 2.8.+ ultrapeers in my horizon, so I'll be waiting.
