I was experiencing a *lot* of download and upload problems with 2.8.5 and I can't even test this version to see if they are fixed.

Vaz | This has nothing to do with the new version. The new version did not change the networking code. Any changes concerning connecting, uploading and downloading are can not be related to the upgrade from 2.8.5 to 2.8.6.
Look at the sourcecode if you don't believe me. |
