a friend has just placed within his Limewire "share" file one specific large file, and given me the file name under which to search for it..........so, howcome, please, all I get for search results is umpteen small kb results with that same name that turn out to be porno bits........not even with his correct file mixed amongst them?

Bad luck. It's impossible to search the whole network. The best you can do is some 40%-50% of the network on good days and chances are that you won't find your friend.

Don't worry, LimeWire is working on it.
