Exclamation 2.9.4 alpha not "PRO"

I've been running the 2.9.2-alpha, then 2.9.3 and now the 2.9.4 versions of LW PRO, but the latest copy -- which I downloaded from the "Beta" link on my PRO download page -- bugs me about Bonzi Buddy and LimeShop. It also asks me to upgrade to PRO on first run.

Looks like somebody at LimeWire mixed up the installers...

I just installed 2.9.4 Pro after a "complete" uninstall. New "About Limewire" says 2.9.3 Pro--no ads.

Trap_jaw, what does the ".com.zerog.registry" do?

You will learn to check the installer before you install. Thay have done that before and one time instead of putting up the english Limewire pro they put up the multilingual one on all the links.

Edit:Also I just checked it out and it says Limewire Pro 2.9.4 and yet the english windows installer is for 2.9.3. This is on the pro page. Yet I believe the reagular page has been changed....I would think the paying customers would come first no?

That's something the Zero-G installer saved. I really don't know for sure what it is but it's definitely not vital for LimeWire or the installer software.

The build process itself is more or less automated. The new installers (PRO and free version) will be created and copied to the servers after each build. - The websites are not updated automagically so the version numbers on the websites (as you might have noticed) are not always accurate. It also requires a manual intervention to update the links to point to the right installers so they might lead you to the wrong location if one of the LimeWire developers was a little careless when quickly creating a new version before leaving for the week-end.

Default I think it's fixed now...

I just re-downloaded the 2.9.4-PRO alpha and it's a different filesize than the original copy I downloaded. I haven't installed it yet but I'm assuming it's correctly the "PRO" version.

Thanks Juggalo. Where do you check for versions?
http://www9.limewire.com/beta/LimeWireOSX.zip 4,197,564 bytes
http://sales.limewire.com/[pro page yada yada]/beta/ 4,194.939 bytes (too, lists "MacOSX 3.3mb")

tried to follow your footer links, trap_jaw, but couldn't see an OSX version. Still, thanks for the info. If I'm reading core cvs mailings correctly, this alpha is mostly about changes to error messages?

sdsalsero, did you ever find out about changelogs, or where to look?

The changes to the error messages were in the less-questions-branch not in the main-branch. The changes include a fix for two minor bugs and a problem causing LimeWire to parse BearShare's query hits incorrectly so they would be displayed as one-star results when they actually should be two, three or four star results.

Ah, OK. I'll learn to watch for "branch" in the logs.
BTW, 2.9.3 Pro (I haven't been able to get 2.9.4 Pro) went into Ultrapeer mode ~20 mins ago, with no problem, so last week's problem looks to be fixed here. The big difference I now note is that in leaf, Connections Dropped(I/O) would usually show>90%, but in Ultrapeer that stat shows < 25%. In leaf, most of the vendors were LW and the Acq .8*'s; in Ultrapeer I'm seeing mostly BearShare. I'm expecting Ultrapeer to drop because of my NAT.
