Maybe only one or two people were sharing those files. Try this. Search for "Limp Bizkit" and see how many files you get. You should get quite a lot of files.

you got to be a little patient after starting LimeWire, it takes a few minutes to find stable connections.

Default not new to limewire...

thanx for the heads up, however, I'm talking about the program being open for an hour and still getting squat. I should be getting a lot of files. The problem seems to be the software. At my house, where I have a very old version, I am getting tons more results, than at my dorm (using the beta). Searching for Iggy Pop, I only got 7 results. Now, I am on an etherent connection... could this be part of the problem?

many dorms limit/block filesharing. Try running the same version in both places to check, or ask around the dorm. It's a real pain to troubleshoot when someone is actively messing with your communications upstream.
