We need a little more information for it to be of any use, pjkyles.

What operating system are you using (Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows ME, Mac OS9, Mac OS8, Mac OSX 10.1, Mac OSX 10.2, Mac OSX 10.3)?

If you know, what version of Java are you using too?

Default Vendor ID

Salut, I found that LW 3.7 displays results from GIFT, MRPH for the first time since spring 2003 (they are however rare) GREAT! But there are also weird vendor ID, when you dl from them they seem to be LWires, Phex, Morpheus etc... Is there a corruption of the vendor IDs by some nodes? Here is an exemple:

Merci

Xolox used to put some binary information into the vendor id field of queryhits, I'm not sure whether you are seeing yet another Xolox version or some other client that behaves the same way.

Default Vendor IDs

Salut Trap_Jaw, no it isn't Xolox, most of the time when you click to download it is LW (3.5.8, 3.615 etc...) and sometimes Phex, Morpheus, Bearshare. It is weird as the results work when you download... maybe a bug in LW as I have nerver seen results like that when using other Gnet servents (maybe they are filtering those though). And those IDs are different each time, not a pattern of -=/+ for exemple (or like the one of the sreenshot above).

Note that if you click on a result to start a download, LimeWire will not always start to download from the host which sent the result.

Thanks very much for the observations on vendor IDs. We found a bug in our handling of query results that was preventing us from displaying results from Gift and Morpheus, among others, as you noted. So, there may be another bug in our processing of their vendor IDs that we'll have to look into. Many of us are on vacation right now (myself included), so please be patient if we're not immediately responsive.

Thanks again everyone.

It's noot necessary to do that. The installer should do so automatically.
