how can i change my default place to save files. all of a sudden instead of saving within the lime wire folder all of my downloads are going to settings and documents. i can't get rid of this. I can't even uninstall the program. it won't go away. i need to uninstall all of limre wire and redownload it or get my default saving back within the lime wire application. help!!!!

You can specify your download directory by going to

tools menu > options... > saving

After applying changes, go to

tools menu > options... > sharing

and remove your download directory from sharing if you wish. limewire automatically shares your download directory even if you didn't ask it to.

furthermore, if your download directory is something like:

c:\p2p\LimeWire\Complete

LimeWire will automatically create a directory called:

c:\p2p\LimeWire\Incomplete

where partial downloads are saved.

Or did you simply want to uninstall LimeWire? If you are using Windows, you can uninstall Windows applications from the control panel and going to "Add/Remove Programs" (sometimes called "Add/Remove Applications" depending on the Windows ver.).
