why is 3.8.1 labeled "beta"

I thought 3.7.x was supposed to be "beta" and 3.8.x would be "stable" ?

And where's the changelog ? . . .

LimeWire 3.8.3 will be released as the stable version in short order. Along with that will be the changelog.
