Ahhh so it does!! I had not got that far down the list. That being the case, I am about 40% through the needed translations.

stacker thats a sweet-looking desktop! what are you using for that? does the info monitor come with your desktop?

regarding the lw sizing, try changing to small buttons, with no text, that might make some more room available

Nope no go.... thanks for the try though. I think I just need to get the English installer and all will be ok. I got too tired to do it lastnight.

The desktop is using a variety of things, after switching from Debian to Microsoft, I needed the nice things I had from KDE Look. Foremost difference I guess would be from DesktopX. Yes all the gauges are active, the wireless network & battery gauges are needed on cause that computer is a laptop.

hey sorry to hear that (that you had to switch to microsoft, & that you have to re-install). its interesting to see that the internationalization of an installer would be causing the prob;lem. i imagined the only difference would be the text involved, but i guess not...

You may in fact (purely a guess) have had 2 issues. It has happened with the odd person that their options windows were not showing the bottom buttons: 1st solution & then 2nd solution But these might or not apply to you. But worth trying eh!

Re: options -- we've fixed the problem of people closing the options window without seeing the 'Apply' or 'OK' buttons. For LimeWire 4.2+, whenever you close the window, it'll prompt you if you want to save or discard (or cancel) the changes, if LimeWire detected you changed any settings.

So, no more need to ask people if they've hit OK & Apply.

That's an excellent development sam. How about osx? I'm not the only one to have a problem with option windows & more creating the spinning beach ball lasting several minutes. Any answers for this one? The ram is more stable though vm still runs reasonably high which has affected I think 2 people who have posted in last few days. I first noticed it (spinning ball on option windows) on the late 4.1 betas. But it can also happen in other areas such as deleting a file from the dwnld list & others I can't think of off-hand at this time of day.

Despite having a reasonable amount of ram. LW doesn't seem to do a very good job of handling it for osx. Spinning beach balls are a sign of major problems for any osx app. Wouldn't you agree? Or isn't mac's java up to it?

Sorry I should have been a bit more clear.... I went back to XP from LInux because there were a couple features of my newest laptop that were not yet compatible with Linux. I am a Linux user, that does not mean I know how to write my own drivers, though it seems I am the only Linux user who can't lol....

As for the Thai issue (I assume that is what was doing it) I too have the problem with not only the progress bars being cut as the screenshot showed, but also the apply and ok all the bottom buttons in preferences not being visible. I scroll the screen down to see them, but a new user would not know they are supposed to be there. I thought maybe it is is my video driver, but it does it on the new laptop as well with ATI.

Edited: Sorry for the double post Lag .... Please delete the above.

Also I just uninstalled Limewire and installed the 5.5mb English version and my display issues are now gone, thanks for the tips.
