Try changing this to simply read: javaw -cp . RunLime You also might want to make sure that you see the Java2TM Runtime Environment, v1.3.1 listed in your programs under the Start>>Settings>>Control Panel Add/Remove Programs window. If this is not there, you should probably try installing LimeWire again. |

That is very strange. What is your LimeWire shared directory? If you change your shared directory in the Tools>>Options window, does it change the number of shared files listed? Keep in mind that all subdirectories of your shared directory are also shared. |

Sharing all of hard drive? The path to Save and File Sharing in options is C:\Program Files\LimeWire\Shared The library shows 11 files shared but there are actually 17 files in the shared folder. The number of shared files that is shown at the bottom right in the LimeWire window is 4771 in both Windows 95B and Windows 2000. I used to keep LimeWire on all the time except when I left the house but have turned it off until I can get this figured out. I do not think I have a virus at least one that is affecting my hard drive, because the free space is still the same. |

This is very unusual. The library is only showing 11 files because it only shares file that have shared extensions, so you probably have 6 files in that directory of extensions that are not shared. In terms of it sharing your entire hard drive, does it continue to do this if you change the shared directory? |

Sharing hard drive? Here is what I did: I renamed the shared file to nonshared and made a new folder called shared into which I put Acrobat 4.0. I closed the LimeWire and when I opened it up again it showed 16 files as shared at the bottom right window. The library shows only the acrobat file in the left side of the window and no files in the right side window. This is better and I can live with it. Also all the files in the original shared file came from LimeWire so they cannot be incorrect file types. Thanks for the help.I really like LimeWire bugs, warts and all! |

Glad to hear that you generally like using LimeWire. I'm still really confused by all of this, though. When you install LimeWire, the default shared directory (C:\Program Files\LimeWire\Shared) is empty. We create the folder from scratch unless there is already a folder there, and we put nothing in it. What are the files in your new "Unshared" directory? As far as the file types, there are not really "correct" and "incorrect" file types -- there are simply file types that are shared by default, and file types that are not shared by default. The change you made with the Acrobat file was a good idea, the only strange thing is that it should show only 1 shared file (I assume this is an exe file?). Is there something I'm missing here? It is possible that there is a bug that we are unaware of, but that code has been very thoroughly tested. Thanks. |

Shared hard drive?? I just renamed the original shared folder (did not move it) to nonshared, kept all the original 18 files in it. Path: C:\Program Files\LimeWire\Nonshared. Then I made up a new folder, named it Shared and put 1 file (Acrobat 4.0) in it. Path: C:\Program Files\LimeWire\Shared I hope this makes it clearer. |

Can't connect with Mac version I am a new user and downloaded the Mac version this morning. The software appears to be running fine but the connection never comes through (waited up to 30 min.). So I have not been able to put it to the test yet. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help. |
