Afrikaans started, Korean, Catalan, Icelandic, and Hebrew translation still needed One of our contributors started the Afrikaans translation but did not finish it. Some parts of the user interface are translated, but globally, the completion level (nearly 20%) is not high enough to allow distribution in Limewire installers (which need a 70% completeion level at least, for the non optional part at the begining of the MessageBundles files). Same thing for the still unfinished and highly wanted following translations: - Romanian: this translation is still incomplete. It is now under the 70% threshold so it is not shipped. Also it lacks the necessary accents and diacritics normally needed for Romanian. A complete revision is required, but it should not require lots of work to make it reliable again. - Hebrew (Israel): 41.52%. With a little more work, this version should become available. Who wants to finish it? - Korean (South Korea) with Hangul characters: 13.15%, the most wanted missing translation. The existing one is a proof of concept, and a compelte rewrite is possible. - Hindi (India) with Devenagari characters : 3.26%, in fact the translation is preliminary, and just a proof of concept (also because the Devanagari script and the Hindi locale is fully supported by Java). - Ukrainian (Ukrainia) with Cyrillic characters: not started. - Croatian (Croatia) with Latin characters: not started. This should be usable too by Serbian Latin users, unless someone says that this should not. - Serbian (Serbia & Montenegro) with Cyrillic characters: not started. Note that Serbian is now often written in the Latin script, but providing a Croatian-Serbian version that would not offend all users of the former Yugoslavia should be possible: we would then rename the "Croatian" language into "Croatian-Serbian (Latin)". - Thai (Thailand) with Thai characters: not started. Note that Catalan (Spain) is urgently needing a revision, or the next versions will not be shipped with it because its completion level will now be below the 70% threshold. Limewire may decide to ship it, but the lack of revision since too long may cause that Catalan users upgrading to a newer versions will no longer have a reliable/usable interface in Catalan. The only alternative will then be to use English as the default (for all missing translations) or requiring that users switch to Spanish. Same remark for Icelandic (Iceland).
