Default Limewire Runs in Background

Has anyone else had any problems with Limewire 4.2.6 constantly running in the background in Windows? Even though I have unchecked all the appropriate boxes in the setup, it still runs constantly from system startup to shutdown. I have to manually CTRL-ALT-DELETE, and then shutdown the limewire.exe task. It really slows up system performance. Also, 4.2.6 locks up all the time. Anyway to go back to the previous version?

It's in your system tray.. you can right-click on the lime icon and close it from there. There's also options in Preferences to stop on close instead of minimize, as well as options to not start on startup.

As I stated in the above post, I have checked all the appropriate settings and Preferences, but this still occurs. I don't even have to start Limewire, and it runs. I will start up my computer, and then view the Running Programs, by using CTRL-ALT-DELETE and I see that limewire.exe is running and using valuable system resources.

Tools>Options>Advanced>System Startup & untick option & press the Apply button.

Do you have LW set as a startup item in your operating system?

Interesting, this should not be happening. Would you mind giving our new beta (4.3.0) a try? We changed a few things related exactly to startup, so that kind of behavior should not happen anymore.

Thanks.
