Why is there a LimeWire 4.4.0.1 out?

Interesting.

LW has not officially announced a newer version, though they have started to build it. Guess someone got it from http://www9.limewire.com:82/download/ and started distributing before LW finished testing.

4.4 is the version you download if you are on windows.

Way to verify:

4.4 has an installer of 2.7 megs
4.2 has an installer of 5.7 megs

Os x is still on 4.2.6 though

I'm on Windows XP and when I go to my download link, there is only version 4.2.6 and 4.3.3 Beta I have about 5 months left of updates. So why does the new version not show up?

Wow I just clicked on that link my NIS (norton Internet Security) kicked in right away to block some adware. It is not I repeat not the official LimeWire Site. Corretion Burn's Link. Stief's is okay. That is the free windows installer version of LimeWire 4.4

i don't know if this is the proper place to post this, but I need help.
I purchased limewire yesterday and the version that I downloaded is 4.4.0. I am having problems downloading any music with this version as LW and my entire computer lock tighter than a drum during downloading or searches.
Please someone help
