Default LimeWire 4.9.3 Beta

The LimeWire 4.9.3 beta has been released. You can download the free version from the LimeWire download page. PRO users can download the beta from their personal download page.

Detailed changelog will be available soon, but in brief, this is mainly a bugfix release. The main bugs addressed are:

* Downloads stuck at 100 percent. This bug should happen much more rarely if ever. If it does happen, upon restart those downloads will definitely not appear as corrupted and will continue to download properly. (Note: this version will not fix any "stuck" downloads started with previous betas)

* Various bugs causing stacktraces reported by various members should occur much less often if ever.

* Overall, LimeWire will use much less memory, and will behave better when there are other applications using the hard disk extensively.

* LAN downloads have been fixed and will be a little faster. (they were broken in the previous betas)

This beta series is a work in progress, and we are appreciating everyone's efforts and contributions. Without you, the beta testers, LimeWire would not be the product it has grown to be. Thank you very much!

xstaindx it might be a skin related issue. See if the same happens when you change the skin.

The issue is regressional related, I never had this problem with any released until 4.9.3

Black is a supported theme, since it does come with Limewire...Every other theme I can see the text fine.

Default Bugs I still have

Bugs I still have as of 4.9.4 on SuSE 9.3 Pro using both RPM and alternative install methods:

1. Window size is not rembered properly. I run at 1280x1024 and when I start Limewire, it always starts with the width fine, but the length is just a little too short and ends about half an inch abover the task bar.

2. When using the tray icon, Limewire stays present on the task bar 99% of the time. If it's in the tray, it shouldn't be on the task bar.

Thanks,

DrSuSE

Thumbs down LimeWire 4.9.3 Beta

*For all errors I sorry, but I poorly speak english. *
Ok, LimeWire still can't download with Magnet links. I only see "Need More Sources" and not see file icon.
Second that small shortcomings in skins: Windows Classic, Windows Theme and Metal. In Metal, when I click on option "View", first frames are transparent (?). When I click "Search" in that skins, LimeWire's logo is rugged.

Can you try some of the magnets available on http://www.magnetmix.com and let us know if those work?

No magnet link ability for 4.9.4 either. Has it been deliberately disabled for the betas? Just tried from there.
