Hi! I just d/l the new Limewire Beta 4.11.1 and installed it. Then I double-clicked the icon as usual to start it. Then nothing...... Usually, the Limewire window would be activated but not this time. My other Limewire Beta 4.11.0 works just fine. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it but to no avail. Help!!

Thank you so much for your advice. I have read through the link that you gave. Actually, I have done all that. Now, I have reinstall the other Limewire Beta 4.11.0 and it works well. I don't know, maybe the new version 4.11.1 is not for Win XP?

It works for me on XP. Usually if LW won't open, it's a Java issue or a conflict with an antispyware program. You haven't installed or upgraded any antispy recently?? If so, make sure LW's on the list of exceptions/allowed apps.

I don't know how much you want to try the new LW beta. If you're keen you could try the Java 6 (JRE) beta with it (install Java first) & see if that makes a difference

i have the same problem. i installed limewire 4.11.1 and it wouldnt open. so i uninstalled it. then it stops on one file when try to install it again. why did it do this?
