Post NATed hosts fail to upload

When I use Limewire on a NATed internet connection, I usually don't have any uploads.
If I'm using it on a normal internet connection, my download requests to NATed hosts usually fail.

We really need the upload bandwith of all the NATed connections to keep gnutella alive.
Are you sure the push requests are working?

How did Morpheus solve the problem? I know people with NATed connections uploading a lot with Morpheus. Maybe the push request is routed only by the ultrapeere instead through the whole network.

Firewalled hosts are displayed in LimeWire with red text. As a result, most users avoid downloading from these locations. However, if the downloader is not also behind a firewall or NAT, then they should be able to download just fine (they just don't know it).

LOL!! Thats why you force your ip to the outside address!! I'm behind NAT and I just force my ip to my outside address (the ip address the world is seeing me as; check out www.whatismyip.com) and people download from me just fine.

Well, I managed to download from a NATed host yesterday...

BearShare, are you talking about your own NAT Router? I mean NAT routers from ISPs

yes....but an ISP wouldnt have NAT. The place your getting your bandwidth (company, school, etc) would have the NAT router/machine whatever you wanna call it at their end. It wouldnt be at the ISP's end.
