![]() Can you elaborate on GGEP interactions with pong-caching. GGEP is an extremely important protocol that has the potential to greatly increase the funtions and features of gnet. For those that dont know GGEP will open up all kinds of great things such as support for +,-,"", max, min file size, file type IN THE SEARCH. Meaning better results w/ less network traffic. Also, with GGEP, query hits messages can include the IP addresses of one's ultrapeers for HTTP proxy push requests. This will greatly increase the usable number of sources. The possibilities with GGEP are infinite. |

![]() The problem is we always need backwards compatibility with other old clients that do not understand these new changes . People have a lot of good ideas if you look around . But we can't change anything without the "old" clients in mind . |
