Search Giving Tons of Wrong Results When i search i get about 200 results for Across the Sea by Weezer. Only about 25 of them are the actual song. What is up with the new search in 2.3.0??? |
I have the same experience with LW 230 Pro. I put in: Title: Editions of You Artist: Roxy Music and I got back results like: Jerky Boys - The Gay Model |
Definately a problem This is definately a big problem with the new 2.3.0 Beta |
What do you expect with a hash system like LW has now ? It's completely scrued ... It's not the fault of the LW on your end but those SuperPeers . They keept the hashes of their clients and they're sending the wrong results back . |
Having same search problems in 2.3.1beta as well. Also noticed that protocol .4 has been replaced by .6. thanks for your support. LW2.3.1b user |
It's hasen't been replaced . LW will accept 0.4 , 0.5 , 0.6 and UltraPeer connections . But it will always drop a 0.x connection in favor of an UltraPeer connection , either as client or SuperPeer mode . Soon we will be using 0.7 . There still discussing the small details . |
Actually this is a problem with LW 1.8. This version of LimeWire matched "metadata queries" incorrectly. We're releasing a filter for these bad results in an upcoming service release. |
Thank you for your comments. VTOLFreak and crohrs. It would be also nice to be able to select any column in the search results fields to download a file rather than just the name field. Thanks for your support. LW 232pro user |
