i use windows xp liimewire shows firewall detected but i have turned it off i have hughes satellite internet provider i run about 890 kbps down and 300 up but i can never download music faster than 8 kbps can i get someone to help please

HughesNet will throttle bandwidth if you go over their acceptable bandwidth use threshold...that probably explains your slow speeds.

i never get close to the fap policy i can not download 1 song most of the time it is around 2 kbps

Update your Java. Use the JRE offline installer here & remove any old Java version before installing the new one.

You could also try Java 6 if the other update doesn't help. Again, remove your old Java version before installing the new.
