Well willmon22

Oracle bought Sun, and all it's wares including Java, about 3 years ago so the name change was inevitable.

Thanks willmon22

If you are needing to run Java 6 for Pirate edition or any other LW 5 version, there is a 'workaround' fix for using Java 7 for Windows users Java 1.7 Pirate Edition Solution however, one person noted this fix did not work for them. So the fix might not work for everyone. If you are using Vista or Windows 7 or later, you should download the 'off-line' Java installer and right-click the installer and set to Run as Administrator. Otherwise you will have issues running LW, such as connection problems.

BTW 'Offline' Java installers are always safer and more reliable for installing than the standard 'online' installers. An 'Offline' installer means you download the installer with all the necessary data within the installer file itself. For many years online installers have had a history of occasional corrupt/incomplete installations for some persons.
