Question Block .mov files from appearing in search results?

Is there any way to prevent quicktime files from showing up in search results? Most of these files are junk that just have links embeded...

To me, it looks like LimeWire options only allow for filtering keywords, but not file types. note: filtering *.mov does not do the trick :-(

I noticed there is also a junk data filter with a sensitivity setting. Turning it up all the way still does not prevent these files from clogging up the search results.

Does anyone have any other ideas? Perhaps the beta version has better content filtering capabilities?

P.S. - I have the latest version of limewire PRO 4.12.3 and Windows XP Pro

If you add them to the keyword filter, it'll stop different file types from showing in your search results. I block several different file types that way.

In limewire go to Tools>Options>Filters>Keywords, then add mov to the keyword filter and click apply.

You can add any word that you do not want in your search results. Hope this helps.

Just put .mov in the keyword filter, not *.mov

How to use the Keyword Filter

Also, QuickTime player does have that problem. That's why I prefer to use VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) because it doesn't react to links & has in-built codecs & is generally very reliable.

Also, those junky files that are .mov files are generally less than 50 MB. So in any case, if you arranged your search results by size then those smaller ones would be at the bottom; Arrange search results by size. But filtering them out will get rid of them anyway.
