Default Do upload permantly increse download speeds?

I heard from a couple of fellow limewire users that if you upload a cartain amount of files that your downloading capabilities wil increase?
eg. if youve uploaded 100 files in total you would be able to transfer 2kb/ps quicker or something like that
i have am sure ive uploaded 100's maybe 1000's of files and no real increase that ive noticed.
and is there any way of knowing how many files youve uploaded in total?

I don't think it matters with LimeWire at least I have never noticed any increase along with the number of files shared. The only increase I have ever noticed is when I went to 6mbps cable.

I don't think it makes it faster, in some cases it makes it slower, because with certain ISPs they count uploads to the download limit, even if your unlimited it's not unlimited.
