What makes you think they might be? Have you had a drop in download speeds recently (or some other symptoms)?

The brick wall means that LW's detecting a firewall. It could be a software firewall not configured properly or it could be an internal firewall within a modem/router. This can effect your searches & downloads & it will definitely effect other people downloading from you.

Double check that the XP firewall's configured properly
Firewall setup

You could port forward through your modem, chances are that this would get rid of the firewall problem. Once you've followed the instructions for port forwarding
http://www.portforward.com/english/r...0/Limewire.htm
you'll have to choose the 'manual port forward' option in LW's tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Make sure that you enter the same port number as LW's listening port & apply to save the change.

There's a lot of good info here about setting up LW for best performance

It could be but there's no prompt in the instructions for your modem to set up a static IP. Normally you'd set up a static IP & then go on to forward a port but the portforward site usually includes a prompt to set up that static IP.

I've had a look through those instructions & I can't see anywhere to enter your static IP even if you had set one up.

You might be able to find out from Westell's tech support site?
http://www.westell.com/pages/support/dropdown.jsp

Otherwise, someone else on the forum might have more clues?

You dont seem to need a static IP for this one, going on what the guidelines say...
beavis26 are you entering the exact same Port number into all 3 boxes for Lime 1 and Lime 2...
