Problem solved by deleting manually, after a bad LW uninstall.

Wrong!!!! Never uninstall LimeWire using the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel!!! You will cause major problems with your system as LW will not be properly removed. The way to uninstall LW is by going to the Start menu > Programs > LW > Uninstall.

Besides, the LW installer will remove the previous version at the beginning of the installation process.

(Not since before LW 4.4 could you use the Add/Remove control panel to remove LW. LW now uses a totally different installer type!)

If the file is within iTunes Library then select the song in the iTunes main library & press delete button or go to edit menu & press clear. If the file is within the LW downld folder, then send to recycle bin.

But normally to remove the file names from the iTunes LW playlist, simply remove the files from the LW downld folder & restart iTunes.

^^ and oo your wrong there!! if its in the itunes library u CANNOT delete or remove it. either set your iTunes to not to look for shared music, or delete from the shared limewire folders.

personally using the add/remove programs cannot create "major problems" lmao! it just wouldnt un-install IF what you say is correct.

and what the **** are you using limewire for!?!? get utorrent, miles better and IS NOT full of harmful viruses and everything isnt porn like it is on limewire. how can you trust taking a file from someone elses computer!? people are ****!! you want to get utorrent and happy, quick, safe downloading

Too many people have had just "that" issue of accidentally uninstalling LW using the Add/Remove control panel. And why don't you speak to one of the LW developers. I have. Idiot!!! We don't need your poor & prejudiced anti-LimeWire advice on these gnutella forums. Ciao

Wrong!!! "If" it is "in" the iTunes Library of course you can remove it! Learn how to use iTunes before you preach!

It doesn't remove all the LW items from the registry. That's why people have problems after using the add/remove panel. Have you ever tried to use the Repair function of the add/remove control panel on LW? It doesn't work because LW does not use that technology any more.

Troll! Go back to where you came from & disappear. Giving poor advice is not needed here.

I deleted limewire, I deleted the tracks I downloaded, but they still show up in my "Owner's Limewire" list. Is there absolutely no way to delete these files that I'm not even using?

yes. I've disabled it and disconnected but then when I close and reopen itunes and enabled it again, the exact same list is still there. I want the files completely deleted from the list. The files aren't on my computer and neither is limewire.
