There are lots of fake files on the network now. These will sit connecting for ages & then go straight to need more sources...does that sound like your problem?

Search again. Vary your search terms (eg for music, search for artist/album & for movies try lead actor's name). Try the All Types search. Stay away from files with heaps of sources. Go for a file with 10 sources or less, or those with a modem source.

Always check a movie before download with Bitzi. A file with heaps of sources but no Bitzi rating is often fake
How to use Bitzi

Not many music files are rated with Bitzi. Check out the threads below for advice & tips

The source you were originally downloading from may not be online now.

Don't forget to search at different times of day, as users in other time zones log on, available files change.

You could try changing some of your ultrapeers, this will often give you different search results. Click on the Connections tab, right click on an ultrapeer > remove. A new ultrapeer will take the place of the old one. Try this with a couple & see if your search results change.
