Hi Paul and Hobo

I guess there is an easier way to copy files from one PC to aother, use a CD or DVD writer (preferably an external one) and copy your files that way.

Much better that messing around with network connections.

And, as it is the 21st Dec, I wish you guys a merry christmas and happy new year.

Mild mannered UK Bob

Default Transfering Files

Hi Everyone:
Thanks so much for your help. I went out and bought a 2 GB storage key. I want to transfer the songs onto the key then put the key in my other computer and transfer the songs there. I tried to do this but the songs did not go from the key into the "Library" list on the Limewire. What am I doing wrong???? Your help is so appreciated.

Sorry I am totally computer illiterate. When you say "add it" do you mean to my memory key? I have to first remove the tunes from one computer's "library" onto my memory key and somehow get them onto to the "library" of another computer.

Thanks again for the help.

Sorry to jump in on your thread Paul, but I too have just gotten a new laptop and want to transfer my old library onto my new library. I don't want to network the computers but I do have a CD/DVD writer. How to I copy the files onto CD/DVD.

Cheers, Danielle

On your old computer go to the library and then press explore. The folder containing the files will open. Then burn/use memorysticks or whatever to transfer from that location to your new computer.

On your new computer. If you are using the default share folder then just put the files from the old computer in there just drag and drop from the CD/DVD or memorystick into the shared folder.

In case that the files are in red writing in the library highlight them, then right click and choose "Share this file"
