Just another suggestion, and the absolute best in my opionion is AVSMedia.com. AVS Video Tools. It isnt free but it is by far the most easy to use. I have had it for a month and have downloaded and burned about 20 movies so it paid for it self in about 2 days. I have Nero and also tried I'm Too DVD Creator in which both suck in my opionion. AVS will let you try before you buy and once you try it and see how simple it is you won't use anything else. It will also compress the file to fit on one disc so none of that 2disc stuff you have to worry about. Hope this helps!! |
Remoc good info... Just one thing can you edit out the name you mentioned, last thing he needs is alot of attention, if you get my drift...:rolleyes_2: |
You are using a good brand of media. Other good brands include Verbatim, Taiyo-Yuden, and Hitachi-Maxell. (Buy whatever's on sale!) By the way, I only use DVDRWs for temporary files...they are a lot more expensive than DVDRs. If it's a movie you want to keep, I would stick with DVDR, although DVDRWs are good for practicing on! Just something else to check...what disks will your DVD player accept? I would make sure that it will play DVDRW. Good Luck  Dano P.S. I don't know if this will help, but I used to have problems with movie conversion programs crashing. I eventually discovered that it was a CODEC PACK that was screwing everything up! If you have one of these installed, you may want to try uninstalling it. Then, just download the DivX and XviD codecs from their respective websites. I use a program called AVICodec (free) that will identify which codecs I need for movies, although 99% are DivX or XviD (I only download .avi files). |
Thank You you are beautiful. |
I use VLC to watch all my avi. movies by the way, and I am pretty sure that this laptop works with any kind of DVD, including -RW |

I think you should run an AV scan and a spyware one as well just to be safe... |
W32 ;) Thanx I did. I really gotta stop downloading programs. One little game and poof I got a bug. W32 attached itself everywhere I had to dump it all in safe mode with Norton. But on the up side I got norton free for six months now. Grin :) Thanx again |
So Im pretty much gonna just have to buy some other DVD's to burn onto, before I do, what would be the best kind to buy? Only recommend it if it has worked for you, and if it has, can u tell me what program you used to burn your DVD? Thanks. |
