searching for files! Hi there, Can someone give me a couple of tips on searching to get the most out of limewire. Currently when I want to download something in general, say **********, when i enter it i get a whole host of files completely unrelated and very few that are actually related to what ive put in the search. Quite a few of these files are all a similar size, about 1,140kb or 8mb as well and they are all one or two words. This happens with all my searches. Also, when i click on a file to browse a host, the only files i can see from the host is a list of one worded files all the same size, which can't be right. How can I make the most out of my searches and are all these files I see real ones or fakes? Thanks for any help you can give. Have a look through these 2 threads Fake files showing up in search results How to find music(lots of info applies to video as well as music) Just be aware of what file sizes you should expect...a movie's roughly 600-700 MB & a TV episode's roughly half that size (depending on the length of the show). 1140kb & 8MB are just not right:p Make sure that you use Bitzi to check video files. Also make sure that you have a good, up to date AV program & that you scan downloaded files before you open them. |
