I have success downloading some videos clips, some are mpg. and others are avi. files. After I finish downloading I would like to view them but I cannot view them. I get a window that says " ERROR OPENING MOVIE - The movie could not be opened". How do I get to see these clips. I already have divx codec. Do I have to install another type of codec? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Try using VLC player. It's free & has codecs installed. You'll find a link for download, plus some other info, within this link

i've also downloaded videos and have downloaded a GOM player but i'm still not able to see the vids .... what do i do now?

Did you try VLC player? See post #2.

Ook guys, up to date i've downloaded limewire, i've downloaded gom player, i've downloaded vlc player and i still cant see vids. I know i'm susposed to launch vids but when i do nothing happens. Am i missing something?

ook now that i've downloaded quicktime, i've got a new problem, when i go to play vids a new box opens and says "error-37" and it still wont play. any more advice on how to procede?

and tell me what file's you are having trouble with and i will download them from you and try to figure out what program opens them, I have found a few that i could not open with any program, i think those are failed attempts at adding a link inside a program, ever get one that opens a web page once you play it ? i have lots of them, and if the file is 1140 mgb it is a girl dancing and it opens a web page, but it has 100 names for the same file, so i wont download any mpg or mpeg files that are 1140 in size. but send the info to me at and i will look into it tonight or early in the morning, and if you want to link to my files just use the numbers above in the direct connect, i have 2360 files and growing, and im my limewire always on. Hope i can help,
