Default LimeWire Artifacts

Is there a list of files and folders posted anywhere that contain any and all limewire download artifacts? I just started using limewire and want to make sure any "tracks" Limewire leaves get securely deleted..

Thanks!

Jimmy, your post is a little confusing. You say you just started using LW, but now you want to delete it?? To properly delete Limewire go to Start > All Programes > Limewire > Uninstall. Then go to Start > Search > All Files & Folders then type in Limewire and delete anything that it finds. You also might consider using CCleaner. CCleaner.com to clean up your computer.

I don't want to delete limeWire, just the artifacts that record any of my download activity. For instance the downloads.dat file that get created in a folder called "incomplete". This file has file names, IP addresses and some other download information on files that I attemped to download but for some reason the download did not complete. Seeing this file is what got me thinking about the security issues.

Thanks

Oh, sorry dude, I think that once you delete files from your incomplete folder, or your library they are history. Hopefully someone else will confirm.

Hi Guys,
I do know (I think) that if you delete files from 'Incomplete folder ' with LWire running, they will re-generate from the .dat .bak files, and lo and behold resume DLoading. If you delete files from within LWire library ,I think that that is permanent. (Not quite sure what happens if you delete files from Incomplete folder with LWire OFF) I have a feeling they re-generate too.
Hope this helps,
N2
