you need software for that...though I haven't used Nero8 yet, I can verify that Nero7 Ultra rocks and is well worth the investment for burning just about any video file

Default Movies - DVD

Hi, if you want to convert movies you have downloaded to a DVD to play on any DVD player ensure you download Movies in AVI format. Then use a program like Convert X To DVD, VSO Download DVD Burning Software, convert AVI to DVD, video converter, DVD copy to DVD slideshow photo (it does cost to buy but you can download a demo., although there are probably free programes to do the job) I have used this prog for years and it is brilliant at doing AVI - DVD. You can even create a menu. Its other point is its better than Nero as it fixes most Lipsynch problems sometimes encountered in AVI files downloaded, whereas Nero can and often does make it worse. Hope this helps

I use Roxio Media Creator 9. It will convert .avi movie clips and encode them to make a DVD. I used to use Nero BUt it seemed to get resource hungry and more complicated to use. Is a matter of personal preference though. Goodluck and hope this is helpful to you.

AVI's are a pain dont no Y any moron put it in the kinda video format. But any way Nero 7 do's rock i have never had a problem with it.I have been useing nero sience nero 5 came out the only reason people mess up is because they dont no what they are doing that the best guess i can give.

Don't badmouth a format just because all you probably can find to download is aXXo movies

What format would you prefer maybe?

DVD maybe, which is 3 times the size and split into several files?
Mpeg maybe, which is a crap format sizewise and inferior to say the least?
WMV and MOV which are famous for spam + they are inferior also.
Which is it?

The only better formats are x264 formats.

Also cccp is a better codec pack: Combined Community Codec Pack

I was not trying to bad mouth the AVI's Format I was trying to bad mouth the programs that dont have the Codec's with them to run it like the WMP that do's not have that avi's Codec for it.Dont get me wrong bit Avi's File's are a better in pixels Than Mpg Or Mpg2 or Mov.
