when i download a file sometimes the speed goes over 100kb but most of the time it is 80
i am wondering why this happens and if i could make every download go over 100kb

Depends on how popular it is. How many people have the file, how many of those you can connect to, how much upload bandwidth they have left over, etc. You cannot always expect high speeds. Especially if you are downloading from one or more dial up users.

Do the occasional repeat search, use the Find more Results option.

Oh, I often browse hosts with similar files, that can potentially take me outside of my normal search horizon finding new hosts.

I find often my uploads are much faster than my downloads. Perhaps because I normally seek harder to find material. My potential download speed is between 5-11 times that of my upload capacity.

Good question. It used to be bitzi but their magnets don't seem to work any more. They host some sample music & video magnet files. But now, I'm really not sure.

its a slippery slope of hosting/distributing any such files these days...

I'm sure it hasn't gone unnoticed that this forum does NOT host or list any links to such places/files....
