Anyone know how to resume an incomplete download from a previous version of limewire. I was at 95% of a 22gb file and then updated limewire. Once the new version came on it would not restart or complete the old download I had almost fully completed. I am gutted as I really wanted the file and now I think I have to delete it then redownload it from scratch unless someone can assist.
Thank you.

Downgrading to LimeWire 4 from 5 & resuming incomplete downloads
If it's a torrent file, then re-open the original torrent file in LW 5.

So does that mean there are two options either
a) downgrade limewire then complete it or
b) reopen the torrent file in LW5.
I have tried reopening it in LW 5 but there are only two files I am downloading that have torrent associated files in my incomplete folder. Also, when I go to the site where I commenced the download and re download it, LW says that IU am already downloading that torrent when clearly it isn't.
Lastly, if I downgrade to LW4 would that mean the files I am downloading now would be lost.
Thanks Lord.

When you download the torrent file from the site, AFAIK it generally helps keep track of the download history of the file. That was why I suggested opening that original torrent file. If that doesn't work then yes, try downgrading back to LW 4.
LW 4 will probably not be as good with torrents, however if you follow the instructions carefully in that link your downloads should all restart. Only issue with downgrading to LW 4 however is although files will restart, they will show zero 5. I am not sure about torrents however. After downgrading, open the original torrent file with LW (not the fresh one you downloaded from the site, trash the newer one.)
