Question divx

How do you install the divx so that you can play movies on a mac? Also, how does a mac play .avi files? Thanks.

I don't use MAC but there is some guidance in TruStars FAQ Section 5.

Although this document is no longer updated, it still has relevant links and help.

Good Luck

Default divx on mac

divx on mac doesn't work really well right now. there are some work-arounds, but they don't work very well - sound problems. The best solution is to get Divx for OSX from Downloads.com. It isn't great but is better than anything else.

Apple is going to be out with a new version of quicktime this summer that should be able to handle MPEG-4 (aka divx).
