Thumbs down Quicktime will not show video!!!!

I downloaded .avi files from LimeWire (fully) and when I go to play them in Quicktime: It says.....Required Compressor could not be found....???....How do I get the video to play...I can hear it just no picture..Is there a better video player to use...Any help please email it to me at jweav22@ou.edu

try downloading divx or go to quicktime support and in "search" input codec or you might try downloading "avi2mov" that helps video that has mp3
