Default Installer still won't open

I've read all the comments, and without getting into the terminal (don't trust myself without more Unix experience) with no results. I have tried uninstalling, trashing everything Limewire, restart, and re-download, but nothing changed. Iwas tempted with the 3.4.4 version, now I'm doa. What am I missing???
Thanks for any help.
Jay

Unhappy help

I had Limewire for a long time, then one day it wouldn't open. It quit at launch every time. So i reinstalled it and now the installer quits on launch. It seems a lot of people are having the same problem and I hope someone has a solution that works, or that limewire will make a new version that doesn't do this. If anyone knows where i could download an earlier version of limewire tell me bcuz i cant find one. help I need it backkkk.

You're welcome. I still don't understand why people are having troubles with the recent OSX installers (this thread title is so out of date!). Pardon the question, but were you booted in OSX at the time?

You can also try Jens-Uwe Mager's build of LW Pro for OSX to check if it's an install problem. It's uses the most recent developments (kind of like a beta version), but doesn't use an installer--just drag to your hard disk.

Here's the link http://baghira.han.de/~jum/LimeWire.html

Default Fix?

This happened to me once with a more recent version and had to
1- Uninstall the Old Limewire using my "administrator" account
2- Delete the file /Library/Preferences/.com.zerog.registry.xml
3- Run the installer from the "administrator" account

(at least I think that was it
Try and let me know.
