Unhappy Unable to Start Limewire - Freeze in Startup

For some reason I downloaded the 3.5.7 version while looking for the 3.5.8 version ... now it no longer works. Every time I download and install Limewire I get to "Loading Core Components" and it just freezes ... any help? I am on the OS X platform ... tks, Robb

I have the same problem. Older versions worked well but the newer ones are always freezing on loading core components. Could it be that I have OSX version 10,1?

Yeah - same here. I had 3.4.4 PRO, bought the 3.5.8 update, downloaded it , followed the instructions from the virtual; disk (drag new Limewire folder to Mac HD) and then clicked on the new Limewire icon. Result - freeze on 'loading core components".

Tried placing the new 3.5.8 application ficon inside the existing 3.4.4. Limewire folder inside Applicatons - same result.

Earlier tried uninstalling existing Limewire components - then installing 3.5.8 - that didn't work either.

It looks to me as if the update is incomplete in some way. I wish someone from Limewire would actually talk to us about this....

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=21867 shows the developers discussing the 10.1.5 stall problem.
(current solution--download the beta 3.6.1 from either the beta link on your Pro page or http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml)

Marie--you can find out what version you are using by looking at the "About this Mac" in the Apple Menu.

NicV--if your Pro is less than 6 months old, you are eligible for Pro support http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...pportpro.shtml
