limewire x for mac os x 10.0.4 ?? Help!!

Help me?? i cant seem to install the application i cant even open the dmg file...is it compatible with my mac os x 10.0.4 i havent upgraded my os n can somebody tell me step by step on wat to do...i have tried double clicking the dmg icon n then the disk copy application comes on n then it says dat the checksum is invalid n then disabled the checksum verification...n then it does mount the dmg file..but i dont know where it mounted it or what happened to it. the help would greatly appreciated,thx

p.s i thought the limewire x is compatible with all x's including 10.0.4
